27 freshman girls participated in a 20-week female empowerment group this year at LCC. They learned about self-care, types of communication, how to stay safe online, and more! They ended the program with ROX Day where they learned physical self-defense and had career speakers.

Congrats to Mya Raczynski who was awarded the Mercy Health scholarship! Mya was 1 of 12 that was selected out of 200 applicants!

Congrats to the winners of the Shawnee Optimist Essay Contest, they are all LCC students! Mya Raczynski 1st place, Carson Caprella 2nd place and Libby Simmons 3rd place.
Also, congrats to Mya Racynzski for being LCCβs winner of the Shawnee Optimist Scholarship!

Biology students are finishing their study of ecology by making decomposition columns out of 2-liter bottles. They have brought in materials from home in order to observe the composting process.

NHS group (Emily Morrisey, Austin Craig, Carsyn Dafler, Emma Donley & Maria Pignataro) volunteered at the Humane Society in Allen County. They cleaned windows, brushed fur off of the cat trees, mopped and swept the floors, as well as scrubbed the walls. They ended the day off by brushing the cats that roam the building as well as the ones in crates.
