Lima Central Catholic High School Board
Renews Principal/CEO Stephanie Williams Contract
The Lima Central Catholic High School Board of Governors voted unanimously this week to renew the ministerial contract for Principal/CEO Stephanie Williams. Board Chair Mrs. Marta Truex remarked, “We are deeply pleased with the performance of Stephanie Williams. We have made significant improvements under her leadership and want to ensure that she will guide our school for years into the future.”
Ms. Williams continues to be instrumental in fully realizing Lima Central Catholic’s Strategic Plan adopted by the board two years ago. Emphasizing individual student well-being among other pillars, her work has led to the development of new programs and services addressing a student population with a variety of spiritual, academic, and social/emotional needs.
Williams has also been a strong advocate for increasing teacher compensation enabling LCC to retain and recruit outstanding educators. Alongside the Lima Central Catholic Educational Foundation, she championed the creation of the teacher endowment fund to help close the salary and benefit gap between the faculty and their public-school counterparts; she has also served our employees as a member of the Health Benefits Trust Committee for the Diocese of Toledo.
Consistent with LCC’s core values, students have logged increases in the number of volunteer hours throughout the greater Lima community and worked to foster discipleship opportunities through the campus ministry and retreat programs.
Mr. Matthew Daniels, Senior Director for the Department of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Toledo, commented, “Stephanie has guided Lima Central Catholic into a period of enrollment growth and overall stability. Through her steadfast leadership, Lima Central Catholic remains a nurturing environment where students live out the mission to become disciples of Christ who respond to God’s call.”
