NO SCHOOL MONDAY SEPTEMBER 6th.

START OF SCHOOLWe had a great start to the new school year.  We

hope your child feels the same way.

As a new year begins, I invite all of you to become involved with LCC.  We

have a number of events you can attend, and volunteers are always welcomed.

We need adults to supervise students on field trips, to help with athletic events,

bingo and during the school day to name a few.  Your help is needed and

appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement.

REPORT CARD – You may have received a public school’s report card in

the mail.  These figures are collected by the ODE through the public school

EMIS system.  Our information is not sent to ODE.   The public report cards

you received at home are based on the entire district.

We have accumulated LCC data needed to see how we measure up.  Briefly,

we have met all twelve high school criteria specified on the report card.  We

have met the Federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) standards and our

Performance Index is 108.2.

2010 AUCTION – This year’s auction will be Friday November 12th.  If you
are interested in helping plan the LCC Auction, please contact
Martha Kahle at 419-22342—2411 or mkahle@lcchs.edu for more information
or questions.

Charter Bus to Columbus for Ready Game on October 8th (From the Red Tide)

Some individuals have expressed an interest in renting a charter bus for the Bishop Ready

game, which will be played at Hillard Bradley, on Friday, October 8.  The thought is that

we'd meet at LCC around 4:30 PM with a departure time of 4:45 PM.  That should get us

to the stadium around 6:30 PM.

We would need to get about 50 people to commit to this and the cost would be

$20/person.  All are welcome, but we do ask that any children be accompanied by an

adult.

If you are interested, please contact either Lisa Krieg (jkrieg@wcoil.com or

419-204-7120) or Barb O'Connor (barb@wcoil.com / 419-236-3605).  We need to know

by September 9th if you are interested.  This is on a first come first serve basis.

Student Fundraisers 2010-2011

Student fundraising is an integral element in the operation of LCC. Monies raised, over

$150,000.00 per year, from our four drives are used to offset the increase in operational

costs of the school.

This year we will continue to promote the ''LCC Thunderbird Walk'', LCC Sweepstakes

Calendar, the Kewpee Coupon Sale and the Taste Tour Coupon book.

We ask you for your support in encouraging your student to participate in each fund

drive.  Your continued support leads to successful drives!  Your student must participate

with their quota each year.

The quota for the school year 2010-2011 is $500 for the first student, $400 for the second

student and $300 for the third student.

LCC THUNDERBID WALK

LCC students will participate in the Annual Walk-a-Thon. Students will gather pledges

sponsoring them on a 10 K walk. A percentage of this drive will benefit area charities.

quota is $125.00.
