Service is a requirement for all LCC students in order to develop good lifelong habits. For a complete education, one does not simply learn about faith from a book but learns to live it. The service hours are a laboratory for Christian living. In the end, our hope is for our students to be prepared for the future defined by sacrifice for the good of others.
LCC students are required to complete at least 16 hours of community service each year of high school. Hours served during the summer are allowed to be counted for the following school year. All hours are to be documented on a service hour log sheet and a reflection paper submitted to the student’s Theology teacher (click here for further instruction). At the end of each school year, 16 hours must be completed, or the final Theology grade will result in an INC. These hours are a graduation requirement.
